A custom design takes time, experience and planning. Through the consultation process Berkeley Designs will help to define your style. Berkeley Designs follows a comprehensive design process for services including the following:
Initial Consultation and Proposal
During the consultation process Berkeley Designs will walk through your space to take note of your needs, desires and personal style preferences. At this stage we often take photos and measurements while determining your budget and timeline for completion of your design project. After the details are finalized an initial proposal is completed and presented to the client.
Design Drawings
During this stage Berkeley Designs will complete design drawings and sketches of the finished space to allow clients to visualize the finished space.Design Creation
After design approval, the design process begins. Berkeley Designs will source products and/or create customized furnishings or accessories as needed. Clients are welcome to participate in buying trips during this process.
Project Management
During this stage, Berkeley Designs will coordinate and manage the trades needed to keep the project on budget. Our goal is to ensure that all the details outlined in the design plan are fulfilled without compromise.
Installation and Final Inspection
After final installation and delivery of all furnishings and accessories, Berkeley Designs will plan a time to set up all new paint colours, furnishings, accessories and window coverings etc. in preparation for a final reveal to clients.
